Tool Rooms are the back bone of the forging industry. The ECFL tool room is equipped with world class technology with 2 VMC machine and EDM (Spark Erosion) Machines. Our tool room is the driving force for the round the clock production process of the factory.
The tool room is completely in house and is designed to cater to all Tool and Forging die’s required by the factory for keeping the Production process working 24 hours allowing us for maintaining JIT (Just in Time) inventory which in turn allows us to keep our production cost for spanners efficient and minimum.
Basic shape of the dies is acquired on a row a Shaping Planer for various machining stages.
Profile design of the die is designed through Next generation Cad software by Solid works & Unigraphics
The profile on the die is machined on at the Vertical Machining Center (VMC). This is a state of art Computer Numerical Controlled machine for making high quality precision tools and forging dies
The EDM (Spark Erosion) and Pantograph machine is employed for making the Brand on the forging dies
The forging dies are fine grinded and matched by Die fitters for good die fitment and good product out put. Minor finishing touches are provided manually.
Once the Forging die pass the Quality control test it is taken in inventory of Production tool
The tool room manufactures the entire broaching tool requirement which is vital aspect of the production process. High speed steel is machined in house to provide good quality broaching tools, resulting in good finish and Jaw accuracy for finished product. |
